ABSTRACT

@#Objective To explore the effect of continuous nursing intervention on limb function and nursing quality after proximal femoral nail antirotation (PFNA) internal fixation for femoral intertrochanteric fracture in the elderly. Methods From February, 2017 to November, 2018, 100 elderly patients with femoral intertrochanteric fracture who underwent PFNA internal fixation in our hospital were randomly divided into control group (n = 50) and observation group (n = 50), who accepted routine nursing and continuous nursing respectively for three months. They were assessed with Harris score and visual analogue scale for pain (VAS) before and after the intervention. The postoperative nursing effect was compared. Results The Harris score increased in both groups after the intervention (t > 45.98, P < 0.001), and increased more in the observation group than in the control group (t = 15.03, P < 0.001). The VAS score decreased in both groups after the intervention (t > 16.33, P < 0.001), and decreased more in the observation group than in the control group (t = 9.749, P < 0.001). The effect of nursing was better in the observation group than in the control group (Z = -2.272, P = 0.023). Conclusion Continuous nursing intervention can significantly improve the limb function and nursing satisfaction of elderly patients with femoral intertrochanteric fracture after PFNA.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effects of standardized pain management on old patients with hip fracture. Methods From January, 2015 to June, 2016, 75 old patients (more than 58 years old) with hip fracture were randomly divided into control group (n=37) and observa-tion group (n=38). The control group accepted routine pain management, while the observation group accepted standardized pain manage-ment. They were assessed with Visual Analogue Score (VAS) of the most intensive pain, and their scores for satisfaction were compared. Re-sults There was no significant difference in VAS between two groups before operation (Z=0.845, P>0.05). The VAS was significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group postoperatively (Z=5.427, P<0.001). The scores of satisfaction was more in the observa-tion group than in the control group (t=21.346, P<0.001). Conclusion Standardized pain management can significantly reduce perioperative pain in old patients after hip fracture surgery, and improve the satisfaction.

ABSTRACT

Ischemic stroke and ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury induced by thrombolytic therapy are conditions with high mortality and serious long-term physical and cognitive disabilities. They have a major impact on global public health. These disorders are associated with multiple insults to the cerebral microcirculation, including reactive oxygen species (ROS) overproduction, leukocyte adhesion and infiltration, brain blood barrier (BBB) disruption, and capillary hypoperfusion, ultimately resulting in tissue edema, hemorrhage, brain injury and delayed neuron damage. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been used in China, Korea, Japan and other Asian countries for treatment of a wide range of diseases. In China, the usage of compound TCM preparation to treat cerebrovascular diseases dates back to the Han Dynasty. Even thousands of years earlier, the medical formulary recorded many classical prescriptions for treating cerebral I/R-related diseases. This review summarizes current information and underlying mechanisms regarding the ameliorating effects of compound TCM preparation, Chinese materia medica, and active components on I/R-induced cerebral microcirculatory disturbances, brain injury and neuron damage.

ABSTRACT

@#: Objective To explore the approaches for the pressure sores in patients with paraplegia using drainage tube. Methods 19 cases of pressure sore accepted continuous drainage after thorough debridement were reported. Results 18 cases cured, one infected in wound and dehisced partly, and cured after suture. They were followed up for 1~24 months, and none relapsed. Conclusion Strengthening the nursing of drainage tube can wash out necrotic material intralesion, which would improve the outcome.

ABSTRACT

@#External fixation devices(EFDs)are generally accepted one of standard treatment methods to patients with complicated limbs fracture. The data of nursing care of 46 cases with complicated limbs fracture treated by EFDs were analyzed retrospectively.Psychological rehabilitation nursing care is very important to treatment for patients with complicated limbs fracture treated by EFDs.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To study topographic characters of the expression of Cx43 and the proliferation activity of keratinocytes on the upper legs of rats and to explore the relationship beween them. Methods: By rutine paraffin section , immunohistochemical techniques of Cx43 and PCNA were used to study the length of the expression of Cx43 in a unit area of epidermis(LA) and the percentage of proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA)positive nucleus(%). Results: Within the range of 5 mm in the horizonal direction, the expression of Cx43 in epidermis varied according to the locations of keratinocytes and Cx43 was highly expressed which was about 3.0~4.5 mm from the start point. At the same time, within the range of 10 mm in the horizonal direction, the proliferation activity of keratinocytes was different from site to site and the kerationcytes with similar proliferation activity were clustered as groups, the scale of which was about 10-3 m; One of the sites, with low proliferation activity, was about 3.0~4.0 mm from the start point. Conclusion: This study suggested that the keratinocytes with low proliferation activity had high expression of Cx43.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the dosage, efficacy and safety of intravitreal injection of plasmin in producing posterior vitreous detachment (PVD), and the possible role of plasmin in degrading adhesion glycoproteins of inner limiting membrane (ILM). Methods Twenty eyes of young human cadavers within 24 hours after death were divided into 4 groups that received 0 1 ml balanced salt solution (group 1) as control, 1 (group 2), 2 (group 3), or 3 (group 4) U of human plasmin. Optical and transmission electron microcopies were performed to examine the ultrastructure of the vitreoretinal interface. Electron immunocytochemical techniques were carried out on ILM to estimate the content of fibronectin (FN) and laminin (LN). Flow cytometry was used for cell viability analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey test was employed for statistical analysis. Results Microscopy demonstrated that plasmin especially in group 4 cleaved the attachment of the vitreous collagen fibrils to the ILM with no evident damage to the inner retina. The content of LN, FN in ILM decreased with injection of plasmin (group 3 and 4 had statistical significance from control group for FN, P

ABSTRACT

Using morphometry and impregnation technique of lanthanum nitrate, acomparative investigation on the epidermis structure of high and low electricresistance skin points was carried out in mice and rabbits at both light and electronmicroscope level, with special emphasis on the structure of gap junctions in epidermis. It was observed that the frequency of gap junctions in low resistance points wassignificantly higher, and their diameter was larger than that in high resistancepoints, while no difference was found in other structure parameters examinedbetween the two types of skin points. It is assumed that the gap junctions may bethe structure basis for the difference in skin electric resistance.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study topographic characters of the proliferation activity of keratinocytes on the fore limbs of rats and to explore the relationship beween these characters and meridians. Methods By routine paraffin section, silver staining technique for NOR and immunohistochemical techniques of PCNA were used to study topographic characters of the proliferation activity of keratinocytes. Results The proliferation activity of keratinocytes on the fore limbs of rats is different according to the locations on the horizonal direction, and the keratinocytes with low proliferation activity are clustered into groups, the scale of which is about 10 -3 m.As result,3 4 ribbons of keratinocytes with low proliferation activity are formed on the vertical direction, where 3 4 meridians are supposed to be the positions of the comparative anatomy.Conclusion\ This study suggested that the keratinocytes on the meridians are characteritic of the low proliferation activity.\;[
